Hi
Looking for a bullbreed vet that xrays under sedation. For hips and spine, do have her booked in under GA but thought i would ask about. She doesnt travel well, sick etc but she will probably do that within first half an hour in the car, but dont want to travel too far as i will have to hang about whilst shes in the vets and will have the kids with me.
Thanks
i was going to message you on FB as your not too far from me thanks. the gains one?

Yes the Gainsborough one is the main place, the other a small branch one. They are very breeder friendly.
ive phoned for a quote and they will ring me back this afternoon, the other vets will be £200+ and then the £55 bva. how mcuh do you pay for hips?

Can't remember exactly, hubby got receipt somewhere, but I have noted down that on the 26th of July I paid £207 at the vets for one hip x-ray
and 2 male cat neuterings, that was including BVA fees -but I do get 10 % discount.
Edited to say: fees are according to weight and my latest HD score was 30 kgs!
shes only 12 so i think thats abit costly £200+ then bva, so im getting a few other quotes in.

I wouldn't object to paying that if it was a good vet, they do a good job and I felt my dog would be well looked after there. After all, if you have to travel further the inconvenience/time involved etc will have to be factored in as well.

I can only back up what Goldmali said i have been with this vet dowding in gainsbrough for years and would not trust my dogs with any one else had several dogs hips done with this vet with good results .
i just thought another £90 ontop of the £90 for extra plate as abit excessive? other vets quoted £40-£60 will have to wait until payday now anyway.
