I have cucumber plants in an old potting shed with glass on 2 sides so like a greenhouse really. The plants have loads of flowers but cucumbers are not developing, I've had a few but wondering why there aren't more coming. Not too hot in there and watered regularly.

You need to pollinate the flowers.
Use a paint brush and transfer pollen between plants (not sure if Cu's have male and female flowers).
I am no gardening expert but there are male flowers and female flowers. If the female flowers haven't been pollinated then you won't get cucumbers. Sometimes there may be just male flowers which are a yellow flower with a thin stem and the female flowers have a small thicker cucumber like stem with flower on top. I know you can pollinate by using a small paintbrush and get pollen off male and put pollen on female and this is a method used if no visiting bees have been.
Brainless beat me to it, so I was right then.

Some cucumber varieties have both male and female, some just female. The variety I have have only female so there isn't a problem. Barbara is right that you need to 'help' them :) :)
Thank you - will get a paintbrush and try it...

makeup rouge brush would be better.
