Does anyone have any experience of using Evening Primrose Oil for their dogs as a coat supplement, if so human or canine quality?

Have been giving it to the dogs for some years & have used human capsules.

Give 1 500mg daily, dogs around 35 kilos. Can be very over priced, try Zip Vit.

I used it for a few months in liquid form (out of a bottle) but didn't notice much difference. I have also tried salmon oil but have found that virgin coconut oil gives the best result-harsh coat texture is maintained but minimal breakage. I think it depends on the dog to be honest.
