why are fossedata and highampress bothering putting closing dates when they keep extending them?
i try to work out my money for entries that month so i know what i can and cant afford and they go and extend everything
cant see the point of bothering putting a closing date on as they dont seem to keepo to it!

I totally agree Welshie. I know shows are desperate for entries, but it does annoy me when I budget for which shows I want to enter each month, then find out, I could have entered it later and made my cashflow a bit easier! Surely if you have a closing date, you have a closing date, otherwise why not just take entries on the day?? lol

as my brain is a nightmare at remembering things I'm glad they do extend dates.

The trouble is some rely on them extending & they dont always!!!
I wonder how many they really get in the extension time...why not just do a later closing date & thats it!! Like it used to be in the previous 30 years I have shown!!!!!

I have been unsure about entering some and I say to myself 'right, if it's extended, I'll enter, if not then it wasn't meant to be'. Completely ridiculous and arbitrary but it helps and indecisive fool like me :-)

im glad they extend some, I often forget to entre shows, I remembered I hadn't entered welsh kennel until the day after the closing date to then find they had extended it luckerly for me. I forgot to entre an open show so called the sectary and have been allowed to entre late, done that a few times now.
maby have later closing dates so that way they wont need to extend them.

I too am often grateful for the extension - I don't see why people have a bugbear about it - what real harm it is that they do?

So often lots seem to close around the same date and I am always a lastminute.com entry so suddenly find myself having to make a decision unless one extends also quite often close dates falls on a Thursday - day before payday!  So sometimes I just don't have the funds - if it doesn't extend then I don't go simple as - I don't moan when they don't extend its just a show I end up missing!
