Topic Dog Boards / General / Stair gates

I've decided that a stair gate to keep the pup in the kitchen/dining area might be a good idea. Don't want it as a permanent fixture, but useful now whilst house training, she's almost there despite being only 8weeks, but today decided that the hall carpet was a good place to wee. I've seen what is basically a child stair gate although will have to get an extension panel to fit (removed the door and frame years ago so wider then most doorways). Any advice to give on suitability? Don't want anything that screws into the walls.

If you Google Lindam dog gates they make expandable and non-screwed gates :)

It's Lindem I'm looking at. Are they the best to go for. Only about twenty odd pounds on amazon , so not a huge expense for my sanity!

I've only got experience of that one and we bought 11 years ago, but we found it fine with two medium size dogs :)

That's good Ruby Roo as I've just ordered one. Hubby said, oh no more junk to find a home for and didn't look convinced when I mentioned that we might have grandchildren one day. He'll be glad of it when he's left in charge when I'm out!

You'll probably find it indispensable.... especially if you have more than one dog, or other animals as well such as cats. One of the best investments I ever made with regards to dog equipment, even though both mine are adults and I no longer have a cat.

I've just fitted this one down the caravan.  I was amazed that I managed it without help, and got it fitting perfectly.  I wanted to leave the front door open to the living room because of the heat.  The dogs loved it, as they could still look out and be nosey.  It had plenty of play to alter the width to suit.  Nothing on this one to rust like my last one.  I am so impressed.
