Does anyone think that dog massage therapy really work.

It seems to - have done a little and it did seem to have an effect, but like most things it will work for some and not for others and I have only used it for temperament problems and recovery from injury.

Well - when I take my dog for a massage the first part of it is diagnostic and I value this at least as much as the massage.  I feel the massage can really help break up scar tissue in muscles and release fascia.   I go to Nat Lenton at K9 Massage & trust her skills more than I trust my vet (yes, I am looking for a new vet . . .)

If your dog is injured or competing then I think a regular massage is just one part of keeping the athlete in top form - just like the cyclists on the Tour - or any human athlete really.

One of mine with HD goes to Nat Lenton when he needs to, we travel 3.5 hours to see her and it is well worth it, he is always so much better!
