I am looking for some very simple, cheap stopwatches - I don't want anything fancy, it doesn't need to have half a dozen buttons and settings, I don't want an alarm, I don't want it to tell the time or date. All I want is a start, a stop and a reset. Any ideas?
This is the one I got for timing routines at our HTM show, very basic but that's all I needed. Bought for last years show but battery lasted right through this years too
Bit pricier but it might do the trick - at least it hasn't got an alarm!! The ones we have now have been banished to the garage, which is why I discovered with 2 days to go before the trial that only 2 of the 3 we needed were still working.... :-p
Yes, but I neither want to assume all my stewards will have a mobile phone and know how to use the stopwatch facility, nor lend out my iphone for the day when it's being passed from one steward to the next. Hence the need for a nice cheap stopwatch that doesn't matter if it gets lost or broken. Someone said they found one in a pound shop once, will have to look. :-)
That's where I tried first. :-) Searched by cheapest first, and ended up with these horrible things from China with instructions that don't make sense, and all these extra features like alarms and times and dates that I don't want. I'll have to have another look some time - next trial isn't till September so I have time. :-)
No, but I do have an iphone, however as I said earlier, I don't want to be lending my tech out to a bunch of people who will be passing it on to each other, or it might get dropped or rained on. Outdoor rally trials are not where you use your expensive stuff! :-)
