I wondered if anyone has ever organised a fun day - specifically an agility fun day - and if so, if they could give me some idea of what is involved.
I have been offered the loan of an agility set, but wondered about the practicalities of organising a day like this and whether i would enjoy it :) as I don't want to be stressed out of my mind!!!
I've never done anything like this before, and am only thinking about it because there are so few local agility competitions for practice and fun :)
So if anyone has any thoughts, ideas or experience please let me know :)
I'm actually terrified but I feel it might be a good challenge/project for the summer :D :)

Hi Lindsay
Whatever you do don't forget to organise insurance!
I have a feeling that there are some restrictions on who/where/when can do agility which is why you don't see them as a "come and have a go" class at exemption shows etc any more.
Good luck with it

Lindsay,
The only "fun" agility I have come across is at some of the bigger HOrse Trials Like Badminton & Burghley. They are about £1.50 a go and you have to complete a declaration form to say your dog is over a year old. The jumps are small and it is all done on lead.
Don't kow if that info is any help.
Tracy
Thanks Christine and Tracy for your help, it's appreciated :)
I think you may be right about the restrictions Christine, I'll try to find out more.
I'm not sure yet if i will go ahead, but if i do I will post on the board and let everyone know how it goes :) - but it wont be until the summer, anyway, as i really want to organise an outdoors one.
