I've noticed that our lab has a series of small bumbs on the inside flap of one of his ears. They look like tiny pimples, but not infected-looking or anything. They are the same color as the rest of his ear. Do all labs have this? His vet didn't say anything when he looked in his ears at his last check-up (I forgot to bring it up). They don't bother him at all, but I'm just wondering why one ear has them and not the other. Am I just being stupid?

A question about health is never stupid :) I do think it could be worth seeing your vet and asking him to take a look at your labs ear ...better safe than sorry

Hi,
I'd get it checked too. Willis had round flesh-coloured spots in his ears for a couple of weeks, and apparently its ok if they don't have yellow heads. But I'd still get it checked out :)

Spaniels have nobbly ears, which can make them hard to clean. I don't think Carrie Hoover has them too, but I couldn't vouch for it.

Maybe you could take the dog in and just ask a vet nurse to have a look. She would tell you if it was normal or if it required a vet's appointment. That would be a cheaper way of finding out. :)
