Well they've done it, all the way from the NEC to London on foot, it's been amazing following the progress on their facebook page and seeing all the high profile breeds take part especially. Well done Gavin and the team, what a wonderful tribute to pedigree dogs.

And the important part, the donation site :-)

Unfortunately my breed club didn't have anyone who could take part on the slot we were given, but several members walked 'in the spirit of Jilly' in our own parts of the country. Here are my two up the Pentland Hills. Jilly's Jolly Jaunt may be over but if you're walking your own dogs this weekend consider donating to JJJ while you do it?

Sometimes I find myself defending Jemima Harrison here, becasue I don't think that she is the demon most of you think she is. However, that said, she's really went off the rails now.

Gavin and Amelia said from the start that they would be bringing a few dogs, it's unfair to ask any dog to walk such long distances on a hard surface every day for 5 days. They say it in this video which was published on their website on 26th April. (Scroll down for the video then the comment about extra dogs is about 4.30 if you don't want to watch the whole thing).

I do find this woman very mean spirited.
Did he actually say that Jilly would be walking the whole thing or has she taken this out of context or lied?

I think it's all a misunderstanding really. There are several titles that say things like 'Gavin Robertson, Jilly (Crufts Best in Show winner - CH Soletrader Peek a Boo) and friends are walking approx 130 miles from the NEC in Birmingham to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London to raise money for both GOSH, DogLost charities and The KC Charitable Trust.'

But at the same time they have made no secret of the fact that none of the dogs will be doing the whole distance, just Gavin and Amelia. I think JH has assumed they were and went off on a tangent, going as far as accusing Gavin of cheating!

If Jilly had done the whole distance I'm quite certain Jemima would have slaughtered them for making her go so far at risk to her feet; if she didn't do the whole distance then she slaughters them for 'fraud'. They can't win - and it totally detracts from the good causes the event was supporting. Very mean-spirited of her.

I have to say I've been following this on fb and seeing friends and their dogs (including the bob Bulldog Crufts 2013) doing their bit. I think it was a fabulous idea and money raised for such a worthy cause and then to knock it, shame on her, really really quite disgusting that people have generously of their own free will made and effort to join in or donate..
I will be too once I get paid as the money is going to the children NOT their back pockets....

To clarify its JH's behaviour that is disgusting not those who have supported this worthy cause

Well this I think clearly states the situation

JH just likes to cause a stir and hopes she makes a full public apology.
