Hello,

Can anyone recommend a good veterinary book for dog owner and professional? I want it to be clear but not over basic as I have a fairly good knowledge. I would also like it to cover bloat.

Thanks!

I'd recommend 'Veterinary Notes for Dog Owners' edited by Trevor Turner.

Agree with Jeangenie, Trevor Turner's book is used here regularly.

I have that one too - but it is a 1990 edition - I wonder if it has been updated a lot since then?

I have yet to find an updated version, so would also appreciate it if anyone knows if there is one or if a new edition is planned? The speed at which veterinary medicine and diagnosis changes, means the book is now out of date on several issues. Apart from that it is a great book.
