Is there a dog training magazine about that maybe comes out once a month?

Not training purely but Dogs Today always has great (and up to date!) articles about behaviour and training in it :-)

Yes I like Dogs Today magazine but I was thinking more of a specialist magazine.

The only one I know of is Dog Training Weekly, which obviously is weekly. There used to be Obedience Competitor that was monthly but I don't think it exists any more.

Do you have or had Dog Training Weekly Goldmali? I tried emailing them a few weeks ago but I had no reply so are they still in business?

Dog training weekly is definitely still in business but it's about competitive obedience, rather than dog training. So depends what you're looking for exactly! :)

I'm looking for competitive obedience for beginners would that suit me?

It has a few good articles and show reports usually, so probably would be of some use!

What are you wanting from a dog training magazine?

Dog Training Weekly is for competitive obedience, however, 95% of it's contents are 'show reports'. So it very much depends what you are wanting. If you want to read how well other folks are doing then fine, nothing better, but if you are looking for training advice, then probably not.

I would still like to see a copy.

Don't think DTW post copies online, they're a small, family firm of printers. Hopefully someone might be able to post you a copy. 'Fraid the only copies I've got have got reports in for my dogs, so keen to keep them :-)

DTW is not the place if you're looking for training advice. Like Triallist said, it's mostly show reports, most of which are already published online (http://www.obedienceuk.net/).

Yes you can find several monthly magazines which provide the huge tips and tricks about the dog training. I like K9 magazine which is a monthly modern dog training magazine.
