Has anyone else had a problem with a new bag of burns?  I have just opened one and my dogs have had upset stomachs ever since?

Its not a brand I use or am familiar with as I tried it years ago with a new rescue dog who refused to eat the food given by the Centre and the Burns was refused too!

But, my daughter has just taken on a rescue who came with a small bag of Burns and he had a lot of 'dire rears'.  Thinking t was just the upset of the new home she replenished it with a big sack of Burns when the small one ran out but the 'dire rears' continued.  She threw the Burns in the bin and switched to Wafcol and has no problems since.  Don't know if it just didn't suit that dog or if they have changed the formula.

I have fed it for years, but have eliminated everything else, so am left with the Burns.  I seem to remember someone else on here having a problem ages ago.

Get in touch with Burns themselves and ask if any things changed, they're ( or were ) very good at answering questions.

I've noticed that the bags have changed recently. I've fed Burns for years, but the last dog died in January and was still on the original type, however she had the squirts on and off last year when we bought some small bags in the new type bag. There seems to have been some changes made in the packaging and how they describe their products and it may well mean there's been a change in ingredients. I hadn't really thought about why my old girls tum was a bit upset as it was off and on and mostly fine. I put it down to her advanced age and intolerance to any alterations in lifestyle,  let alone food, so maybe there has been a change in what's in the bag as well as the bag itself.

I use Burns for my adult dog - she is absolutely fine on it.

Thanks everyone.  I've not given them anything from the new bag today and so far all seems ok.  I do think something has slightly changed.  If all is still well after tomorrow, I will try a slow reintroduction and see what happens.

All well today, I will give just a little Burns tomorrow and keep fingers crossed!
