I need to have my puppy microchipped and have heard about the mini one. Somewhere I read that it was a smaller needle and also less likely to migrate, but I can't remember where.

Has anyone used this, or know anything about it?

Do you know anywhere that uses the mini chip (south west Hampshire area preferably)?

Thanks

I use the mini chip and the needle is much smaller than the standard one. In all other respects they are the same (as far as I know!). I use them for small animals and so it is a great step forward for us.

I only know people in this area who chip their own animals only, but I'm sure lots of people will be using them. I'd contact petdetect (the suppliers) and ask them who is in your area.

Have a look on Peddymark's website, they have an Implanter finder tool and will supply mini microchips which the Implanter will be able to order for you.

I have the smallest pups ever, and have never had a problem with the normal chip.
