About a month ago i decided to take the plunge and start feeding my afghan the barf diet previously he had been on a well known complete and i,ve got to say i wished i done it 4 years ago, the difference in him is like a miracle. He is a completely different dog. afghans are meant to be aloof but he was positively scared to death of people and situations that he didn,t know. he was bought as a show dog but we stopped that as i couldn,t say whether he would show or not whether he would let the judge go over him or not and with the cost of shows going up all the time i couldn't see the point of throwing money down the drain. Since the change in his diet he is a totally different dog actually going up to strangers for a fuss and it must be the food as nothing else has changed he's not on any medication or anything so now i'm a total convert for feeding natural and wonder if there is some connection between complete foods and behavourial problems, any one else have any opinions on this subject

I don't see why there shouldn't be a connection in some cases. I've known plenty of kids who turn into little terrorists if they drink fizzy drinks and eat too much processed food and my horse turns into a maniac on hard feed :(
Lucky you to have hit on the right solution. Hope it continues to go ok for you :)
