Has anyone here ever been hypnotised?  How did you find it - did it work/help?  Having my first session next week and am anxious to find out more.  Had a free consultation yesterday and very happy with therapist, just want to hear from someone who's 'been under'!

Yes, I had approx 12 sessions of regressive hypnotherapy to help with anxiety issues. It helped me to relax, and I did come away feeling alot better, although it was not a 'fix' for my issues, it was at the time the best help I had.

It was a very enjoyable feeling, but you have to go into it open minded

Didn't work for me.  I am a fairly 'strong' person, and found myself stopping any influence from the other person.  I didn't go into it thinking that it wouldn't work for me.  I thought I was open to the new experience, but it just wasn't for me.

Thank you - I don't consider myself a strong person but on the other hand I don't like being told what to do!  I really want it to work so will try and allow therapist to help me.

Understand it can be a fabulous thing when it works. I know one person only who has had a gastric band type therapy to great effect, she lost many stones.
