Am I imagining things or were we supposed to get a discount or something this year if we'd entered last years show?

I was lucky or not so lucky :) last year with my toy breed as we enjoyed the show in the mud and I'm still wet to this day LOL.  But of course it was cancelled for the other days, of which I had entered other dogs.

It's a joke. Last week's DW had a font page advert saying "Blackpool, the cheapest championship show in the UK". Yeah, right. For non CC breeds you get a whopping £2 discount this year if it was one of the cancelled groups, for CC breeds £4. So as you had to enter two years to get to show once (that's if we're lucky) for a non CC breed one dog will have cost you a total of £24, a CC breed £44 and that's not counting paying for a catalogue twice.

What gets me is, seeing as the times the show has had to be cancelled has always involved the Sunday, why on earth can't they at least switch the groups around? Seems you're fairly safe showing on the Thursday!!

You can enter as many classes as you like for the one entry fee which would be great for me who likes to enter the stakes, and gets cross, at £5 a time, when I miss them due to clashing with the breed.

Too far for me though.

I think that all the shows should HAVE TO ROTATE THE GROUPS.  We have several where we are always on a week day, and those who work can't get the time off work, even those who work weekends would benefit, it's only fair.

There's only a discount this year if your group was cancelled last year. Those who managed to show (Toy and Utility) don't get a discount.

We were due to show first day last year but instead spent the day mopping up the flood of mud and water running through the awning where the dogs sleep. If the river running through had been a tiny bit more it would have been in the Croft pens they sleep in. Won't be taking the caravan back there again (unless there's some serious drains put in - no chance of that happening).

The campsite down the road is better and cheaper :)

Just back from WELKS "campsite" hence late reply. Totally agree that "propper" campsites are better and cheaper but then we'd have to leave the other dogs in the car at the show and we'd rather not do that.

Wish that Blackpool would do a per night rather than for the whole week.  Though with the weather the last few years don't think I'd camp anyway :)
