and gives more weight to the arguments of other breed clubs who are lobbying against colours which have never been known in their respective breeds
Not realy as they said they are doing it on grounds of health, so surley if a colour doesnt casue problems but was never in the breed befor they wont do anything. It was said in dog world about the boston people wanting unusal colours reg stopped that
"Where an individual wishes to register a dog of a colour which is not on the list of accepted colours, such as blue in Boston Terriers, the dog is registered as 'colour not recognised by the KC'. However, registration is not refused on the basis of colour unless there is a health-related restriction in place, such as merle-to-merle matings"
So as long as the colour doesnt have the risk of health problems its wont get refused. As far as i know its just merle that can cause problems isnt it?
