I get this feeling sometimes like I am bouncing up and down, not jumping just lifting and dropping about an inch or so, it comes and goes, nothing seems to make it worse or better and it just goes off after a bit.  It started when i was lying in bed but I have experienced it sitting down in the office too.  I have not noticed it either in the car or when standing up or walking.  There is no dizziness, lightheadedness or anything accompanying it just this slight bouncing.  I have no known health issues (including mental health) although I have been a bit stressed recently this has been going on for a while.  Tried googling and symptom checkers but I can't find much.  A couple of anxiety sites but this is happening after people are having major panic attacks and the like.  My heart does not change when it happens I have no feelings of faintness or anything but this bouncing.  Anybody got any ideas what it could be?

I'm told that having a slightly iffy liver can make you feel 'swimmy'.

Interesting?  I shall certainly have a look at that.  It's difficult as generally without a specific body area you can't really find symptoms!  Thank you

Inner ear trouble?

Although balance problems usually cause dizziness, they don't always

Does it feel like when an elevator stops?   The drop and bounce back up?

Something with the ear would be my guess too, though I have no medical training!!

Vertigo?

I would get your eyes tested and then your ears checked if you are worried.

Stress however also can throw up a range of symptoms so also try and address what is causing the stress and see if that sorts it out.

Pretty sure it is not eyes as I do wear glasses but I have my eyes checked with that.  I will I think look at maybe getting my ears checked.  Vertigo type sypmtoms are as close as it gets.  Best I can describe is that it is a bit like someone is nudging the bed when I am in it (or bouncing on it) So it is more like a deferred bounce than one I am doing.

Thanks for the ideas though.  Now just need to manage a doctors appointment - if I was not stressed before I would be after speaking to the receptionist!

I was thinking of vertigo but it could also be stress related.
