I'm not sure this is the best place to mention this and if I am breaking any rules I apologise now! Some of us had a discussion about Dentasure way back when and I said i was planning to ship some back with my brother, bless him. He's in NY now and I was about to place the order. If anyone wants to join in (within reason...I can't tell him he will have a small suitcase full!) I will place the order tomorrow so it gets there in time before he travels back.
I have missed this discussion So please can I be enlightened as to the use of Dentasure

http://www.natural-wonder-remedies.com/Oral-Care_c_7.htmlDentasure is a spray or a gel that you apply to a cat or dog's teeth--but it isn't alcohol based like Petzlife and (when I get it sent to my mother's) the postage is much cheaper than getting it sent to the UK. It's very good at doing what it says on the bottle, unlike some!
Thank you I will take along look into this for my golden crew
Hi, do you use Dentasure? I would like some for my 2 dogs but the shipping costs are huge, do you know if its available anywhere in the uk? Or have you found anything else thats as good?

I do use it, and I either bring it over myself when I am there or get my brother to oblige since he comes back and forth often for work. I don't know anything else that's as good (but that's just my opinion). I have a spare gel bottle if you like or I have family visiting over here at the end of May if you can wait :-)

I've seen it on ebay uk, not sure where but I'll try to dig up a link for you, if that's of any help?

that's quite expensive--the US site has a perennial offer of $39.99 for two bottles, which in GBP would be equivalent to charging $60...

I suppose there is always the risk of import duty on top if customs pick up on it.

I guess there would be that risk if you were bringing back an unexplainably large amount, but a little goes a very long way

How have you got on with it? Has it made a big difference?
I'm not feeding many whole bones (because I've got a gulper) and I have noticed their teeth aren't so pearly white anymore :-(

I think it's excellent. Put another way, a couple of years ago our vetting was tutting slightly at Jack's teeth and suggested he have a scale a polish done. I tried the Plaque Off for a few months--some difference, but not enough. I was pretty lackadaisical with the Dentasure, but it made a huge difference and the vet has never said anything since :-)

>I think this is the only stockist in the UK
Ouch! That is a money maker for someone! I didn't pay much more than that for a gel and a spray, including postage when a very nice person on CD let me buy some from her. :-)

We have another visit coming up at the end of May, so if any CDer wants to order Dentasure gel/spray etc (haven't tried their K9 calm yet, saving that for Rye's next season :-)), there is a two for one offer at $39.99 on their website and I am happy to add to my order (within reason)--pm me if you are interested.

Just tagging on the end of this thread from a while ago. I noticed zooplus stock
Fortan Dental Care, and wondered if anyone on here has used it. It doesn't seem expensive and zooplus are usually pretty good for delivery these days.
BEWARE.
I recently ordererd some of this product. I have only just received my order so cannot comment too much about it effectiveness although its looking promising.
However I checked the website after reading about the product on this forum and decided to go ahead and order. I couldnt decide on the spray or gel so decided to get one of each. The website shows a twin pack of both on offer at $39.95 with a buy one get one free. Now maybe I am being thick here but a photo of two bottles with buy one get one free leads me to believe I will receive 4 bottles in total. The usual price for 2 bottles is $79.90 so when it show SALE $39.95 I thought great I'll order some. One bottle is on offer at $29.95. Postage was over $40 and I was charged over £18 customs charges. Then I got my package I only had 1 bottle of spary and 1 bottle of gel. I have contacted the supplier to inform them that there advertising is very misleading.
Just wanted to make you all aware of what you will actually receive.
