Is anyone likely to be doing blade sharpening on the day at Crufts? Dropped my scissors again, and wondered if there was going to be somewhere that I could drop them off first thing and pick them up before I go home. :-)

I need this too... have a pair of straight shears that have got to the point where they couldn't cut butter. Was just going to bring them along as I'm sure someone will be there who does sharpening.

Yes, but it could take a LONG time to find a stall if I don't know what I'm looking for, let alone which hall to look in. Might try that though, or just send the scissors off and treat myself to a new pair, then I'll have a spare! :-D

Have a look for "Diamond Edge Scisors". Hall 2, Stand 72. Leave with them at show and they will post them back to you !

Thanks - yes I saw that advert in DW tonight I think. Thing is if I want them to take home that's no good, might as well buy my new pair at the show and then it doesn't matter how long it takes, they can go to my usual place. Which aren't slow or anything, but as I'm grooming at the weekend too I needed a fast turnaround than usual. Will have to manage until Crufts. :-)

I've always used Diamond Edge, I just Googled them to see where they would be at the show for you ! :)

A couple of years ago Red Cape did sharpening while you wait. Just seen they are advertising the sharpening this year, Hall 5 stand 140.

Redcape are good if they are doing it, drop scissors off in the morning pick up later in the day.

I'll just post mine to my usual place I think - I'm going to treat myself to a new pair of scissors anyway, so I'll have a spare of my favourite ones.
