Got given a large one these at Christmas and need to know if I can make it into a pudding of some description. It's 1kg cake in a dome shape but I find them dry.
We get given one every year by daughters boyfriends parents, his mother is Italian.

Not sure where but saw a TV chef make a kind of bread pudding out of one. Try googling for Pannetone recipes?

This looks scrummy!or you could use it for eggy bread :-)
Luxurious toast :-p
Wish I could have the stuff, but there's wheat in it :(

I have made them in to bread pudding and bread and butter pudding using it just like ordinary bread. In fact any sweet recipe that needs bread could be adapted
Is Pandoro the plain more cake ish one? A bit like a large dry Madeira Cake? If that's the case then use it in trifle type deserts - just layer with fruits and cream or custard - or Google "leftover cake" or "cake crumb" recipes
If it's a Panettone then Bread and butter pudding is my vote - it's what we always used ours for when it was in the company Christmas hamper...
I guess I'd decide based on whether it more resembled a cake crumb or a bread dough!
To save worrying about it at the time I just sliced it and put it in the freezer until I was in the mood - and you can do this with either type of cake :)
It's cake, pandoro. Panettone would be easy!
Thank you, trifle sounds good.

Would have helped then if I had read the title properly , so ignore my previous post lol
