We currently have a 2 year old flatcoated retriever, and now she has calmed down a little bit(!?) we are thinking about getting her a little sister! Admittedly our dog is totally spoilt and we all love her to bits and she gets so much attention(which of course she LOVES!) We have only ever owned one flatcoat at a time, and are wondering how Livvy would react if we introduced a new puppy to the family! Would she be jealous/upset? She is a lovely girl with a wonderful temperament and plays nicely with other dogs. We think that it would be nice for her to have a sister for company and to play with. Does anyone have any experience of a similar situation? Any advice/suggestions appreciated.
Sharon.

Thanks briedog! Just clicked on your link and saw your 5 dogs. Beautiful!
I bet they all have their own personalities. You're very lucky!

Shouldn't be a problem at all with a sensible age gap, so long as your girl has had sound basic training so that she doesn't teach the new pup to vanish into the blue yonder!
We've got seven that all live happily together, so be warned of the addiction problem!

Good Luck - have you got our litter recorder's number?

No, I don't have the litter recorder's number, what is that actually? Livvy has been trained and is mostly very good, apart from a few little cheeky habits like trying to jump on the bed with us at night, taking pot-pourri out of the bowl in the living room and dropping it in various places around the house, and stealing tissues from our pockets! I don't think we would manage seven though!

Hello,
If you get a puppy do let us know, so often we see requests for puppies, but never know if the person asking is successful. Do contact Shirley Johnson, she is as Terri says very helpful.

Yes, of course! I have contacted Mrs.Jury who we have had all of our flatcoats from and enquired about puppies in the near future. We still haven't decided for certain if we will have another yet, but i will keep you posted! Thanks for the help,Sharon xx
