Has anyone had their dogs x-rayed since the New Year - just wondering if there is a backlog.  Been waiting 3 weeks now and it seeems so much longer...

Ask your vet when they were sent, hold ups are often a case that they are not sent straight off.

The average is 6 weeks, however i know someone who went, must of been only a few weeks ago and they've had their results today

The procedure notes say that they aim to read them within 3 weeks of receiving them, then you add in postal time from vet to BVA, and BVA to vet and contact with yourself.

Wow -  LindyLou, that was very quick.  Just hope mine are back soon.

E mail the BVA to check that they have them. The Royal Mail had one of my dogs films for 3 months as the vet didn't pay enough postage!

Have you checked on the KC site as my results were posted on there before I had been notified!! Thankfully they were good :)

One thing I will say. Do not sign anything until you have checked and double checked everything.

I got my results back by phone, went to collect the paperwork and found that the vet had put her registration date on the form instead of her date of birth. I hadn't noticed, the vet obviously hadn't noticed, but even scarier was the fact that the BVA hadn't noticed  I have just had to go and resign a new set of forms for the vet to return to the BVA so I can have the proper paperwork. My fault originally for not double checking her date of birth.

In saying that her results are very good, elbow 0 hips 2/3=5 :-)
