Was wondering if anyone could help me please, we have bred the overall top Alaskan Malamute puppy for 2012 as printed in Our Dogs, I was told by a previous winner that we had to collect something from Crufts??? Not sure about this but apparently we will receive notification - has anyone else won this award & is my information correct?? We were chuffed to just be named top puppy but just wondering. Thanks :)

Well I bred the top SWD puppy for 2012, not heard anything about this though.  Did you get your free annual just before Christmas?  I did breed the top puppy many years ago but didn't get anything then.

Thank u & same to you too! :) Maybe it was something supported by our breed club when the other person got something, didn't think about it at the time but on reflection it would be unlikely every top puppy would receive something! ;)

You used to get something like a bag from the Sponsor (that's what Inka got for 2009), but for 2011 when Safi won, it was just an Our dogs Rosette.

Will be interesting to see then this year! :)

congratulations Lapema! This year Our Dogs are telephoning winners of Top Breeder and Top Puppy awards--previously a letter was sent out.

Top Puppy winners can collect their rosette and prize at Crufts from the Dorwest Stand in Hall 3A. I think in previous years the prize was a piece of glass but am not sure what it is this year.

There is also an electronic banner for Top Puppy and Top Breeder winners--you can use this on you website, or on stationery and what have you. I can email this to you if you haven't received it--please pm me.

I won Top Puppy with a puppy I own and bred last year. The competition was sponsored by Plaque Off. I got a 2 tier rosette and a small tub of plaque off! The previous year, my friend won, she got an umbrella! No glass in sight. Hope you get something worthwhile and well done :)

I only got a rosette for Top puppy in 2011, couldn't pick it up at Crufts (car broke down) so asked at a later show, handing in my letter. 

So what should I have got for Top Puppy 2011, I feel miffed.

For 2009 I got a small holdall type bag with the Rosette.

The CC breeds had bigger and better rosettes. i didn't get the electronic banner for my website either :(

Yeah the pup I bred won the Channel Islands Top Puppy competition yesterday as well.

A friend tagged me into it last week, its lovely! Castiel will want it in prime position, or may possibly pee up it, its his fave trick at the moment lol! Do we need to take any id or anything to pick it up?? Thank you again :)

I haven't hears anything about presenting ID. In previous years winners were notified by letter, but this year it's been done by telephone, so I'm not sure what you could take...the dog ? :-)

Lol!!! Yes Castiel can point a paw & say 'MINE!!!!' lol sure that would only be worth a go if the trophy had food in it........ or a bitch in season! ;)

Much better than last year! I was so proud when my puppy won 9 Best Puppy's at Champ shows and was also Top Rare Breed Gundog Puppy, but so disappointed with the prize :(
