Hi,

Can anybody tell me where I can get canned pumpkin please? I need to add some roughage to bulk up one of my girl's poo and have read this helps.

Thanks

Amazon sell 4 cans for £8 free postage.  http://www.amazon.co.uk/Libbys-100%25-Pure-Pumpkin-Filling/dp/B003FO2DAS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1359902681&sr=8-1

I can get it cheaper (about £1.65) in small deli in town but it's not always in stock. I also think larger Sainsbury's sell it too.

I've read that steamed butternut squash works just as well.

Make sure it doesn't have spices in it as any I have seen has.

Steamed butternut squash/ pumpkin is better, no additives and the excess can be frozen as it only takes a desertspoon or 2 to sort the problem.

Hi scarlettwynter

Waitrose sell canned pumpkin - it's made by Libby's (called 'solid pack' - no spices added).  Can't remember the exact price.  Not cheap but worth it for occasional use.  I have not seen it anywhere else - don't know about Sainsburys..  Thanks to helpful recommendations on this forum I always keep a can in the cupboard (along with the Chappie!) and have found it really helps with upset tums.  As others have said, once opened you can freeze the rest in ice cube trays & then put in bags for later use.
