I've had 2 wisdom teeth removed, last summer I think it was.
Anyway where they removed a bottom one I can now feel a flippy bit of skim and it feels like I have food stuck under it yet there is no hole.
The flippy bit I think is new, I was at the dentist this week due to toothache and they didn't notice anything different...
Is this normal or am I needing to go back to flag this up? I did suffer from dry socket just after I had them removed...
Any advice?

are you sure it wasnt there befor the tooth was taken out? my bottom one has a small bit of skin that covers part of it.

Possibly but I can feel it now and it's uncomfortable as it feels like I have food caught up in the area, there is nothing there!!
I was given the all clear by the dentist.

I would go back and ask them to check it. You shoudnt be unconfortable. And if its nhs make sure they don't charge you again as its within 2 months

Just felt the other side to compare and there is a like a hard lump on the gum line around where the tooth has been removed... That's why it's painful

Actually now I look in the mirror the lump is not in the gum but in the skin in my cheek area by it...

off to docs then ?

Sounds from reading online that I still have a bone fragment there, apparently this is common as they surface later on.
I can't understand why they don't take the whole tooth when they have the chance? I was put under to have it removed too :-(

I thought they did. Surley thats the point of removing the tooth and why would it be in your cheek ?

All I'm feeling is pain. It's in the gum which is rubbing the cheek causing another problem, lol!!
Been throwing clove oil on a cotton pad over the course of the day and bonjela!!

It'll be a slither of tooth working it's way out. Can you not suck it out? Go and brush your teeth and spend a bit of time on that area. It's totally normal to have small fragments working their way out. In fact, my dentist always tells us that this could happen after an extraction.

Never heard that cracar. Hope dentist sortsyou out today not nice at all

It's really quite painful, I just want it out. They never told me this and I've already suffered dry socket from this extraction, so really want it all done and dusted as I don't do pain very well at all :-(
