hi i m new to this site i noticed my dog was in heat on the 12 jan she wasnt bleeding on the 17th of jan and she mated with my dog on the 19 20 and 21st of jan her bleeding didnt change in colour how the book of the bitch says it would she just stopped bleeding do u think she would have been caught pregnant they tied on all 3 mattings thank u in advance for any help its very much appreciated x

3 of my girls bleed bright red blood all the way through, whereas with the other 2 the blood changes to a straw colour so it is quite normal. There is every chance she will be pregnant.

I've never known a bitch's discharge to change colour during her season, despite what the books say, and they've still become pregnant after visiting the stud dog, even on days 18 and 20 if the season, so yes, it's quite possible she'll concieve.

i kept reading the book thinking iv read it wrong but i odviously havent but my male dog has gone so protective over her bless him x

i do hope so the first time they tied for 7 mins te second and 3rd time was both for 17 mins but they were both maidens so i will have to see i suppose there is no guaranteex
