Just start as soon as you get it. I'm assuming you mean Panacur 10%, if so I would personally be giving 1.5ml per day. If you give it until 2 days post whelp you won't be getting any worms. She'll be just fine. :-)
was hoping you would see this jean :) yes sorry forgot to put panacur 10% thankyou il be geting it and starting tomorrow now that is her weight now so il go by that and not what she was before mate! just incase some1 is reading this and wondering, that is right isnt it jean ??!! x

I think you will find that some folk use the pre-pregnancy weight. But I have used the actual weight at first day of worming for the last 100 or so years. As it has been perfectly safe, and never any problems with my toy breeds, I have never changed, whatever folk say. We all have our own ideas! :-)
The way I look at it, with Panacur it's only a quarter dose anyway, it has been tested to many, many times over the recommended. And I have always believed that pups get used to it while in the womb. And so don't have a problem with it when it's used later.
I'm sure someone will tell you different, I am only telling you what has always worked for me. :-)

I too go by weight on first day of worming.

Wonderful to find someone else.
I got mine at day 36; went into Pets at Home, asked for it at the surgery. She said it would be £34. I was shocked! Last year I bought the same 100ml bottle and it was only £6! I asked her how that could have happened as I bought it from the same surgery (and it was the same girl!). She said 'Well it looks like someone typed in 1 instead of 100ml and charged you for that.' I hadn't the heart to tell her it was her that'd done it but instead went to the main counter counting my luck that we'd gotten such a cheap bottle last year. Anyway, got it for £18 at the main counter in P@H so no worries there.
My bitch HATES taking the wormer though, I have to get my OH to hold her whilst I hold her muzzle shut and just put the syringe at the tips of her lips. As soon as she adjusts her mouth and opens it a crack I shoot it in! She hates me for it but a piece of roast chicken and all is quickly forgotten. ;)

I always start my bitches on extra meals about the time that Panacur is due. I poach white fish in half milk, half water, and squirt the Panacur into it.
I don't pay that much for mine! Hyperdrug don't charge for P & P and they despatch the same day that you order. Never waited more than 48 hours for it.
Wish I'd known that before! I'll try that with the fish tonight, thanks.

I always put a dollop of natural yoghurt plonked right on top of the wormer in the food bowl. They lap it all up, no probs.

I put it in goats milk never have any problems
I mix it with fish fingers!
Goes down no problems....

From the posts I guess you have gathered what a crafty lot of people come on CD!!! :-) :-)
Jean, I'm constantly in awe! Last night I mixed in the wormer with some chicken jelly leftover from the slow cooker, she was licking the sides of the bowl. Fish fingers will be tested tonight! Only have to do it for another week though!
same price at p@h ....once delivery is charged from hyperdrug so im going there today to get the wormer i like to go and buy "stuff" lol any excuse for me to spend on the dogs ;)

Hyperdrug don't charge delivery on wormers.
iv got it up now and its chargeing me £2.08 :( wonder if i carry on with card details it will take it off then ?? x
ive just rang them you have to spend £50 to get it free. so thats good if u need to spend that much!!

If you order Dopram V, nutridrops and other whelping needs you may reach £50
I certainly did the other day, puppystim, Dopram, Whelpi, clamps, etc. etc. etc.! All came on the Monday after being ordered on Saturday morning, great service, I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

white lilly, that's a new one on me! I can't have ordered Panacur recently then. Because I have never put in an order with the Panacur, simply because they always advertised wormers free P&P. So a definite change then.
hi jean i havnt a clue whats going on with it but i went to order it and it was going to cost me delivery so i rang them the lady i spoke to told me i had to spend £50 to get free delivery i thats how it happend :( so i went to p@h as its up the road and i wasnt paying deliver if others havnt payed it on just wormer!x
