Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / border terrier: seizure

My 18-month-old border bitch has had what appeared to be a convulsion in the garden lasting about one minute. She collapsed during a bout of furious barking and lay shaking on the ground. She seemed fine almost as soon as she woke up and hasn't had any after effects or a reoccurence. It's the first time it has happened. We have problems with her barking, particularly with other dogs and we've been seeing various dog psychologists in an attempt to cure her. She has also had a recent jab. She is otherwise in good health. Any thoughts anyone?

Take her to the vets straight away!

Even though the fit/ seizure was for only a minute you need to know what caused it. Any kind of incident like that and you should seek professional advice.

Good luck...
