Topic Dog Boards / Health / Trip to the vets

I went to the vets the other day. My bitch has been scratching her face and itching/biting licking her front legs for a while now,it's not bad but from time to time she can have a scratching spree and with the ch shows starting soon I don't want her having a bald patch.
She had been frontlined and wormed 4 weeks ago.
I thought she may have had a mite problem, the vet used the nit comb on her and had a look under the microscope and nothing. Vet says she may have an allergy towards us and said keep her out of the bedroom and see how she goes.

I was wondering has any one had this sort of problem? I would be grateful of any info/advice.

I saw this in a few of my dogs when we had carpets, after we'd ripped them all out it stopped. My Cavalier at the time rubbed his face until it was bleeding, never did it again with no carpets.

You can get an allergy test done as it can be related to any number of things- food/dust mites/pollens etc
