You'll be very lucky, a season lasts around 21 days (that you can see) and you have 22 days! Just 1 day spare!!! A lot of dogs get lethargic after a season often extending to a broody 60 days! She may just be clear but then again she may not and if not then it's not fair on the dogs present to hake a bitch still with an interesting smell.

As she will be right at the end, I would advise a bath for her, and some bitch deoderant, and the use of Sherleys or Johnsons Deoderant Tablets, starting a few days before the show. thes contain Chlorophyl, and in my experience are pretty good at disguising body smells.

I myself wouldn't take my dog to a show at this stage. I have a bitch that has been mated on her 18th day and still had colour. I also had a bitch that was separate from the dog for a month and still became pregnant.

Hi I think you should be fine by then the dogs might show a bit of intrest in her but she should be well past her optimun time of course their could still be a chance but if you wanted to mate her there would'nt be a chance thats sods law I personnaly have often seen in season bitches in the ring and as A rule the dogs seem to know that its not the job they are there for although i always think its very distracting for the dogs who have to follow the bitches in the ring so I personnaly dont take in season bitches to shows but unfotunatly for you this is A bit of A close call watch her carefully if she is still standing & lifting her tail 3 days before the show i would give it a miss. Talking of bitch sprays - I keep all my doggy 'stuff' in my show bag. At one particular show I was in a rush and sprayed my dog with coat shine gave him a quick brush and was off to the ring. On my way I over heard many exhibitors commenting there must be a bitch in season around. In the ring the other dogs were paying him more attention than usual and I still didnt twig. When I got back to the bench there at the side of the bag was the anti mate spray, I had used that instead of the coat shine!! Poor thing.
