Hi to get straight to the point i've got 2 bitches mother and daughter now mother usually cycles right on every 5 or 6 months now she has just not came in to season for about a whole year now and her daughter is folowing suit usually all 3 of my bitches cycle 1 after another every 5 or 6 months the longest delay was only ever about 8 months never longer than this i now they can have silent seasons but watching my bitches lady parts ever so closely nearing their 'due' seasons nothing no swelling no blood nothing surely with silent seasons there still be the swelling temperament changes is there anything the vet can do apart from resorting to hormone injections i'm probably worrying over nothing but the daughter has missed about 2 seasons really not sure what's going on

One of my girls was due 1st October, and still nothing
My bitches 4th season was 6 weeks late, i wouldn't worry :)

Has the 'pack' order changed in anyway, dogs or people - have noticed in the past that any change that causes the dogs to change or doubt where they stand can affect the seasons.

Up to two months late is pretty normal here, especially if a mating is planned.
That made me laugh Brainless! How do they know eh!
My bitch was very late, she was late for her season after her litter by five weeks, then late for her season that was six months from her original season time, and then three months after that she finally came in!
> she was late for her season after her litter by five weeks
Mine all do that after a litter, I expect them to be 4 to 6 weeks later than if they had not had puppies. I would be very surprised if they came in as if nothing had happened in between.
I had heard it was common from this forum Brainless so I wasn't worried at all, but I thought that she would go back to her normal timed season afterwards? Then she missed that one, and I thought, oh she'll have pushed back by five weeks... yeah and the rest! Oh well, she's mated now and my puppy people are patient!
