Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Another LKA Question

Sorry guys ive got another question, this time about the gates. I noticed on the map in the info leaflet it says ''Classified Toys, Poodles, Keeshond and Lhasa Apsos enter by Gate 2.3
All other breeds, AV Imported Register and AVNSC enter by Gate 3.1, 4.1 or 4.5''. But the thing is im going with my vallhund and my friend who is comming with has her lhasa so can lhasa's use the other gates? She wont be bringing her stuff like her trollie/cage (the walk has put her off lol) but thought id ask incase she gets to the gate i want to use and gets told to go to the other gate as there on opersit sides.

Thanks

They give gate numbers so you go in nearest to your benching but I don't think you would be refused entry at a different gate unless you are unfortunate to get a real jobs worth.

PS the first number is the hall you are in the second is the door that is nearest to your bench and ring

Thank you, looking at the map my nearest gate is 4.1 or whichever one is the bottom right of the map and hers is bottom left, and i realy dont want to walk fay past lots of trollies that will be going in her gate. She is in befor me, looking at it proberly around 11.30ish for her and around 1.30ish for me so aiming to arrive at 10 to give us time to find our benches and her to regroom her girl, she wants to hang around my banch with me most of the day so it would be easyer to use my gate.

Makes absolutely no difference which door you use,you can use whichever you want, the info is just to make it easier to find your benching.

Last year I went in by the door furthest away from my benching as I went in with a friend with a different breed.I didn't mind pushing my trolley through the halls and had no difficulty getting around

Yes LKA is laid out so it is easy to get around for exhibitors, and you don't loose your bearings as you do with Crufts with randomly placed large stands making it hard to see any distance ahead.

thanks,we both used 4.1 and found our benches no problem,

We went on the train, my puppy took it all in her stride. It was a bit crowded going so glad I had reserved a seat, but only cost £18 return from Manchester and plenty of space on the return journey.
Thought the trade stands at the LKA were excellent.

Shuttle buses were excellent yesterday and really really helpful with trolleys and such. I was dreading the long walk with my bitch as I'd worked so hard on her feet being nice for the show so the bus was fab. The halls were kept really clean, didn't see any dog poo, a few piddles were soon cleared up (including my own bitch's!)  and the trade stands were great. The benches were really well placed too right next to rings, and the rings were a really good size, not a postage stamp like some I've seen. Great show, would go again in a heartbeat.

Much nicer for the exhibitors re use of space/layout and being able to get around than Crufts.

I've decided that LKA must be my lucky show as the last 2 years my bitch has been reserve best bitch and this year she went one better and took best bitch. Very happy :-)

Love this show for trade stands and layout of benching etc.

I got on the bus to get to and return from the halls and can't praise the NEC staff enough as they were fab!

The lady driver on the journey to the halls did everything she could to assist exhibitors and even moved the businto a better posistion to accommodate two ladies with a large trolley full of cavs who were complaining loudly that they couldn't access the bus, I was highly embarrassed when after all she had done to help they then decided to walk in and continued to moan! Can just imagine that they will be writing to the dog press with a different account of things but in my opinion they were just being difficult.

On the return journey to the  car parks Nec staff were helping trollies onto the buses and two burly men were at the south carpark bus stop to help lift trollies off the buses, however guess what, some folk were still whingeing!

I for one was very grateful and had a really good day and came home a very happy bunny.
