im now worrying my self sick ive just used the stot on for our maybe 2weeks from 1st mate and 1week from last she was treated the week before she was mated as we saw fleas she started chewing at herslef a couple of days ago i kept looking but this morning i saw 1 so ive done her again after reading it says its safe on the leaflet that comes with it but come on here and saw people saying its not safe :( so now im so worried!!

Trust the manufacturer's leaflet.

"Laboratory studies using fipronil have not shown any teratogenic or embryotoxic effect. The safety of the product was demonstrated in breeding, pregnant and lactating bitches treated with multiple consecutive doses with up to 3 times the maximum recommended dose. FRONTLINE Spot-On Dog can be used in breeding, pregnant and lactating bitches."

thanks jeangenie im such a worrier anyway but yes im going to trust what it says after all we trust wormers thats are used :) feel better now x

Personally, I wouldn't have used it, but it's done now - so no use worrying...

I have used it on a pregnant bitch in the past as it suggests it is safe to use, and not had a problem. Frontline goes into the sebaceous cells of the skin and I imagine that is why it is OK. Sure all will be fine. These things have to go through rigid testing before they are approved including the warning literature.
