..he's not PERFECT but most things have snapped into place and OMG do you love him to bits. :) :)

..And now because I've said he'll no doubt find something bold to do today!!

Sounds great, my 6 months old monkey is going to her first champ show on Sunday.

Inka I'm curious about your use of the word 'Bold', it would seem to be a negative, where for me it would be a positive trait as in the breed standard fro my breed, where the breed is described as 'Bold and Energetic'
- By inka [ie] Date 12.12.12 13:51 UTC
Maybe it's an Irish thing? Bold would be naughty more than it would bold and impressive!!

Good luck on Sunday, do let us know how you get on! We have no shows til mid Jan and I am DYING to get back out there with him.

To me all my puppies are always perfect, even when they do the total opposite to what I've asked........ because I'm totally biased. :-D :-D

It's an irish thing!
I used to share a flat with an Irishwoman from Dalkey, Dublin, and if one of my cats jumped up on the table or kitchen counter she would always say "BOLD cat! Off, now!" same way we'd say "Naughty cat!"  or even "Bad dog!" (to dogs of course). It used to make me chuckle, I'd never heard the word being used in that way before.
Do you have Bold washing powder in Ireland, or is it renamed Cheeky? LOL

We say our 4 month old lab is 'naughty', but it's always with a massive smile - as if that's the right thing for a puppy to be!!

My mother once told me that she had been really upset that a visiting relative had commented that her sister was a 'bonny' lass and made no comment about mum. It was quietly pointed out to her later that the aunt was politely saying FAT :)
- By inka [ie] Date 13.12.12 11:05 UTC
HAHAHAHA! :) I never realised no one else uses that word like we do!
- By Roxylola [gb] Date 13.12.12 11:19 UTC
I had an Irish housemate for a while and it took me a bit to work out what she meant when she called my dogs bold!  And as for bonny, I grew up with it meaning pretty and having moved to a different area I have to watch how I use it as here it is a euphemism for fat!

Oh Lordy mine arent!
Ive kept a dog and a bitch puppy and he is an angel, a gentleman. Full of fun but so easy and wants to please.

SHE is possessed! Jumped into the bath on top of me, chews every pair of glasses she finds, cables, kitchen cupboards, tips over every water bowl...all the time. Bogs off when shes called and generally causes havoc.
He settles down after his walk, she is still raring to go and pesters everyone else.
She naffs off the adults because she wont take a telling, chews their ears and necks..... I sometimes feel she will never improve, until I think back to her perfect, wonderful, sweet and obedient Granny..who was exactly the same at 6 months... :-)

SHE is possessed!

:-D :-D :-D Whoo, sounds like a real powerhouse there.

Now......... I would describe her as having a super fun personality. :-D I love them like that, because I know how they will grow up, some pups just like to have more fun than others and live life to the full...... you've got your own rock star chick to tame. :-D

My puppy isn't perfect either LOL. Those of you that are Facebook friends of mine can see the photo I took this morning. Well I was  going to wash the floors, and I was going to wash the dog bedding, so Penny decided she'd do it all for me. She emptied 5 full water bowls all over the living room floor and then dragged  the bedding into it. Two jobs done in one!

LOL my boy is pretty good in fairness, but he lives with my angelic 9 year old dog who if you leave him home alone you half expect to come home to a cleaner house he's so perfect - hard act to follow!!

When her Granny was like that I used to wonder why people thought these little 'demons' would make nice dogs for little old ladies....then they grow up and the memory sort of fades ( like childbirth I suppose).
Then along comes another little one :-)

She is THE most cuddly apologetic little soul afterwards though..."I couldnt help my self Mommy..why are you so chilly today?"  :-)

Marianne... I feel your pain where the water is concerned, this one snorkles up to her neck before she empties the bowls.

My 14 month is still an adorable bundle of pure evil! I can't wait for her to become calm and gentle - perhaps when she's 10? OTOH my 2 year old is so soft and gentle and soppy it's almost pathetic! :-D
- By Jetstone Jewel [ca] Date 14.12.12 00:07 UTC
LOL, must be my Irish/Scottish heritage, I know both meanings of "bold."  Oban is bold when he scarfs cat food out of their dishes right behind the OH's back (wouldn't dare behind mine, I'd have to leave the room :)) and bold when he struts into his Grandma's new retirement home as if he owns the place.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 14.12.12 08:48 UTC
Oh Inka this is quite entertaining the different uses of the same words, but I seem to have taken your thread totally off topic, LOL
- By colliepam Date 15.12.12 18:35 UTC
heheh,i was smug about gwen who was the "perfect puppy"-she really was!, till seven months, when she became a demon for a month ,bless her! Serves me right!
