Our lab LOVES pig ears -- I think they all do! I don't think that there's anything wrong with them, but you do have to watch them while they're eating them because they can choke on them once they get small. We found that they just weren't practical because he ate them so fast (what started out as a 30 minute treat turned into a 5 minute frenzy!) You might want to try pig ear-flavored bones and compressed rawhide. Same idea, but it takes them much longer.

My Labrador loves pigs ears. They keep her quiet for a while.

I would definitely make sure you are around the dog whilst its eating them - stories of dogs choking on rawhide/pigs ears etc as they bite off chunks and swallow them whole - end up stuck in intestines and causing blockages.

Molly loves pigs ears and only gets them now and again for a treat, or if she is not bothered with them will go off and bury it! :D

I used to feed them to my bitch. She'd partially swallow them and then retch them back up for another chew :(
They'd go straight through my other dogs :(
