Hi does anybody know of any ringcraft classes in or around Bury, Lancs please?
Heywood & Radcliffe Canine Society. Held at Little Lever working mens Club, Little Lever. Bolton. Monday nights from 8pm.
Lancashire Dog Training, Rochdale Road, Heywood. Monday nights from 8pm.
Oh that's fantastic thank you, where is the one in Heywood held please that'd be the nearest one for me
It's ok thanks I google'd it and got the number
The one in Heywood, Lancashire Dog Training and behaviour is near Morrisons in Heywood. I am not sure when they will finish for Christmas so best to check, that it is a normal training night and not the Christmas Party !! LOL.

There is a class round the back of Hollingworth lake on a thursday evening. I think it starts at 8.00 till 9.45. Its run by people who have been showing for many many years and they boast 300 years of knowledge of dogs. They only charge £2 and that includes a cup of tea. lol Its at the rugby club. The only thing that put me off is that its flipping dark round there and I would be worried about driving round the back (narrow road) when its bad weather. think I might end up in the lake. I did go to watch and they seem very friendly and knowledgeable. 07970 690 565
annieg3 I know the people involved as I used to go when it was held in Shaw, but they moved to the Hollingworth Lake site, and it is a bit too far, and like you say not that easy to get to from here.
Heywood and Radcliffe is also very good, as it is quite busy, so gets them used to how it will be at a show, also they have quite a few trainers, most have been showing for a very long time, and you would know some from the dog press as they often win Groups. !!!
I like the fact that different people, male and female, go over your dog. They are all very freindly and it is the one class that my husband likes going to, as it is in a working mens club he can have a pint of beer while I train the dogs, and I drive home LOL.

oooh will probably see you there then Dorcas. Am plucking up the courage to go. Have been to see my pups shown by their owners but I have problems in that I cant show an adult dog as cant lift and can only do a slow runny walk. lol Even puppy at 16 weeks is borderline for me now for lifting. Am Hoping they will give me confidence to have a go as I need to know that I am going the right way with my pups. Seems very reasonably priced too. Another consideration for me. I'm in Rochdale but its only 25 minutes away so hope to be there next Monday.
Heywood and Radcliffe have their Dog of The Year (Tickets only) 18th December.
Not sure about Lancashire Dog as not been there for a while, I was going to My Pet Stop at Denton untill it closed recently, but have also gone to H&R on a regular basis.
I like to take my pups to different places so they get used to different environments.
Both of the above classes are very good, I like the mirrors at Lancashire Dog Training, as it helps you to see what the judge sees. You will get plenty of help at either.
Forgot to say P.M me when you are going and I will look out for you.

will do. thanks.
