Yes that subject again ? I am completley flumoxed ! my 22 month old housetrained flat coat has come in from a long fun walk. She was at home with no humans for about an hour .oh arrived home and had been in for about 15 mins when she did a large solid poo in her bed and covered it up with the vet bed.
She was slow to house train and I still have the occasional problem at night because she doesnt wake me up if caught short inspite of going out before bed at about 11 pm or later. She usually tries to get out the back door if she want to go outduring the day making a right racket at the door and oh says she didnt make any noise.
Any one any thoughts on this ?
Oh dear, that's not good is it?
Have you still got any snow, sleet out there, it may well be that all her usual scents on her walk are covered up, and she has become confused about where to go now so decided to not go at all, some of our dogs can get very sensitive when it comes to rain/snow, and as she has been a little devil to toilet train, she may not need much of an excuse to go in the comfort of her own home instead of outside.
Let's hope that is all that it is, she's a little monkey isn't she? I really hope that you do not need to go back to basics again, it's been a rough road for you, I would just make sure that every hour you call her out into the garden make her walk around with you and praise her when she goes and hopefully if it is the weather the cycle can be broken. :-)

Thanks carrington. yes it could be any of those thngs. The snow has actually gone well it didnt really get here lol
She is in and out the house all the time anyway so encouraging her to go in the garden ie back to basics should nt be to hard as a precaution. I was most worried about doing it in her bed and then covering it , very odd. She has never been told off about doing it in the wrong place so its not that.
Although my originall post is serious just to make you laugh as I am trying to.I was at work today so oh was in charge !!!!. One of the cats decided to use a plant pot in the spare room as a toilet so that room stinks, Brooke with what she did and then just discovered smallest dog had been shut in my sons room and had done a poo in there ! Must ask when he last saw little one and did he take her for a walk ?
Thank goodness for my lovely gsd he remains calm and mature through all of these happenings.
Oh my, well......... they say things come in 3's. :-D :-D
With animals you get the odd day or two like this, not feeling well etc so many factors can cause poo days. Let's hope you get a reprieve for a few months/years now, think you've had your share. :-D
Actually, after reading your 2nd post again, do you know what seems most likely with all 3, looks to me like O/H has not been paying attention to the animals well enough, maybe Brooke did give out a warning, she may have paced or been waiting by the door and gone unnoticed? Maybe the cat did too and your other dog totally got missed, so yep........... let's blame the guy for probably focussing on the tv or something else and not noticing. :-D
My O/H never has one eye on the animals like I do, I notice every movement and understand every gesture, whereas he doesn't, probably why I'm never fully relaxed. :-)

My youngsters always seem to lapse in their first or second winters. I'm currently having to remember to take the 2 year old and the 1 year old out every few hours and insisting they wee outside (yes, even on that cold wet grass, cruel mummy that I am!) or I find puddles in the hall and on the doormat!

Think I found part pof the answer! She had eaten the remainder of a box of quality street which I thought was safley sealed and oput of her way !!! That and oh been a bit vague a bit what happens with the dogs

Nando is struggling with the winter. Not with his toilet habits, he is very habitual with them, but with his food! He is leaving it outside because he wants to come in from the cold and trying to bring it in.

Quality Street......mmmmm, nice. How did you discover this? Was there wrapper evidence??! Cant blame her, I would've wolfed the lot too..........keep them away from me....at least until christmas eve. I darent buy anything like that at the moment....too tempting by half!
She had eaten the remainder of a box of quality street which I thought was safley sealed and oput of her way !!
Ummmmm....... are you sure?......... Not that hubby of yours blaming the dog is it? :-D :-D :-D

is she due in season ?

Like that carrington. Many a true word ! although he did mutter something about " o is that what the glittery bits were in the poo " ! Claire that is a really good point she hasn't had a season yet got to start sometime. Mind she is a little moo for pinching things . Sshhh I still havnt told oh she grabbed the roast pork joint from the fridge . I returned what she I grabbed off her dusted it down and gave it to him for tea !!
