I would be interested to find out if labradoodles are bred in this country as I am looking for a medium sized family dog who will not upset my husband's asthma too much.
Thanks

Deary , whilst we have heard this before , the guest maybe hasn't :)

Victoria , as far as I am aware , labradoodles are not bred in this country and if they are then they are not recognised by the Kennel Club. There are quite a few breeds of dog that will not affect your husbands asthma , not least of which is the poodle (which come in 3 sizes).

Lel ..go to Google and type in Labradoodle...you should get all the info you want. Its a crossbreed (labrador/poodle I think)

Thanks Melody
they dont look particularly short haired so why would they be any better for asthma sufferers

I assume its because they have hair rather than fur lel ...go back to Google and you should be able to find out :)

Hi
excuse my ignorance on this subject but if you cross a non-moulting breed with a breed that moults surely some of the pups will moult and some not or is it down to genetic dominance?

Exactly Archer, with a cross such as this, no matter what some try to tell you, there is no way of knowing which side is going to be the dominant side. They could look like a Lab with the fur of a Poodle or look like a Poodle with the Labs coat or any other combination.

My suggestion is to go for something where you know what you are going to get.
