I would actually like to see that cross :)  Some crosses sound lovely but then you see them and think, What on earth!!lol.  I love the GSDxMals but some of the litter are gorgeous and some are reallllly ugly.  I chose the ugly!lol
I met a BCxspringer yesterday, 6 months old and allready a handful.  Honestly, I couldn't think of living with a worse cross! They'd be mental!

being a groomer I see lots of different crosses. I have several Cockerpoos on my books. Most are nice dogs but their coats are fairly difficult to manages o they get clipped very short regularly to remove the mats. However recently I have had several young cockerpoos booking. I am not quite sure if they are all from the same breeder but I know a couple are related so think the others are too. They are absolutely round the twist. Very pretty puppies but a nightmare to groom. The owners tell me they are never still and always into mischief. Very soft coats that mat up easily and they wont allow their owners to groom them.It has been a nightmare to clip the mats off and I am dreading them rebooking. At least one was on the verge of being rehomed.
I also had a BC cross poodle the other day and he was worse than the Cockerpoos. He had to be muzzled all the time as he meant serious harm to both me and his owner while we were grooming him. Lovely when he was not being groomed though but again a coat that was just huge matts. I wish these breeders could see the state these dogs get into when the owners can't manage to groom them.
I do have one of my favourite crosses to do today though Dave the Chi x pug. (Chug?)He is a lovely sweet dog. Nice short coat and lets me do anything to him.

I'd imagine this might look a bit like the Great Swiss Mountain Dog (bernese with short coat ;-) ) so why not just get one of them? People have no sense!

Grrrrr!!! Why why why??? I can't see anything positive in a Dane you'd want to put into a BMD... Please don't say that they are selling said pups for a silly amount of money?

I met someone who told me I was crazy for not breeding my working springer with a min poodle.  Apparently, he gets £700 per pup!!!  I told him, I couldn't think of anything worse than hyping up my girls temperment to be told that, it wouldn't be me that's dealing with them after 7 weeks!FFS, what chance do we have with people thinking that these type of folk are the decent breeders cos they don't breed those horrible pedigrees!

PS Thanks for posting the link but I much prefer the teddy look of the proper Bernese. Adore that breed but not the longevitey.

The breed people on DD at Crufts this year for the Swissy said essentially their breed is like a cross of a BMD and. Rott, I have both, wouldn't ever dream of crossing them and tbh I'm not a fan of the look of the Swissy.

Also breeding at 18months from both a Bern and a Dane is shameful, both have their health problems and to think of the potential mix is scary!!!

I came across someone recently with a litter of Cavapoos. She was selling them for £800 apiece, and apparently they were all booked before they were born!

Theres one litter by me where mum is a lab and dad is a newfoundland. The add is claiming they should be like newfies that wont slober and moult less and all for £600
Theres also some puppy farm breeding Bulldogs & Shar-Pei tougher.

I have just taken a booking for a Lancahire Heeler x Poodle! Probably easier to list breeds which haven't been crossed with poodles these days

> BCxspringer yesterday

My friend has a little rescue Sprollie! (sorry mongrol :-) ) She is not mental at all - brilliant little agility dog.   The cross breed has nothing to do with it - it is the parent's temperament what ever breed it is - that counts surely!   You can't really generalise can you - I know completely laid back collies - one who can barely be bothered to get herself over a jump - and then you have a collie like mine who is the one who often seems 'mental' when she is completely excited and wound up.   I was just trying to cope with an over excited little cairn youngster today who would not stop jumping up my legs and scrabbling her claws into me - then charging off and barging Meg.  Fair play to Meg she gives a warning - but this little dog - 10months old now ignores her totally.  I have to move on briskly to get away from the little soandso.   But it is not 'mental' it is untrained!

My best friend (against all my advice) bought herself a cockerpoo, and as much as he doesn't moult so hasnt set off her allergies he is a complete nightmare dog barking non-stop and destruction. She is at home all day, but he is going to live with her sister very soon as she has had enough of his non-stop naughty behaviour.  He did get his gold in obedience and even the trainer has been to hers for one on one training but to no avail!

I know Coonhound is a proper breed :-) I was just adding to the post that said it was probably easier to list the breeds that hadn't been crossed with a Poodle! So I thought of a Coonhound. But if it were crossed with a Poodle then you'd have a Coo Poo :-D  Course, who knows, there may already be lots of little Coo Poos already running around. I've no idea what the start of the thread is about ... did I miss something?!

Haha sorry didn't realize you were replying to that post ;-).....
