ive seen a few people give there dogs oil before going into the ring to calm there dogs down
i think 1 said it was lavander oil ive seen people doing different thing with it
some put a couple of drops on the back of the dogs neck and others put it in the dogs mouth
is it lavander oil or is it something else?
is it safe for dogs to have the oil in there mouth?
is there anything you can get to calm a dog down before going into the ring?
thanks

I agree - probably Valerian Compound.  Have a look at Dorwest Herbs for info on dosage and content.  Doreen Paige is another company who supply remedies for dogs - I think this one is brandy based - a bit like Dr Bach's remedy for people :)

Why would you need to calm a dog down before going in the ring? If it's not happy in the ring should it really be there?

My girl is a right minx in the ring and often over-excites, but I like it and it makes it more fun. I just make sure she's had a proper walk about before we go in and had a chance to play and see others in our breed as she seems to only really love to play with beards!

The Bach remedies can all be used on dogs as well as people............had a few occasions when I've had the bottle of Rescue Remedy and gone .........one for you and one for me :-D :-D
