I will be phoning the company tomorrow but I would like to know how your dogs coats actually fit them.
After many of you recommended it I rang the company with my dogs measurements for a dog coat and they sent a 16" JRT coat. But it hung off her bum by about 2-3" so she couldn't lift her tail and looked fed up.So I swapped it for a 14" yorkie which fitted just to the top of her tail so she could lift it, but as soon as she moved the coat rode up her back so she would get wet there.
How do your dog coats fit, do they hang off at the back ?

I used to sell dog coats, I would measure the dog from the back of the neck, where the coat would sit, to the base of the tail.
I do not know what breed you have but if he has broad shoulders this would cause the coat to ride up, then it is down to the style of coat and you would need one that is a bit wider but the length would be the same as he measures.
I am suprised that they class a yorkie coat as 14", Yorkies are around 10" to 12" unless it is a very large Yorkie, Westies are 14".

Don't know how any manufacturer can classify a size as being "westie" "yorkie" or any other breed.  I have started making some standard sizes and have 3 sizes each for both Pugs and Chis so far!

I have swapped it for a 14" polo neck style coat so hopefully that will be better.
She is a dog that likes to have her tail right up so got to get a good fit.
