Are there any breed health co ordinators on here who have health surveyed their breed? I am looking into putting a health questionaire together and would appreciate seeing what other breeds have done.

The Dobermann Clubs did one a year or so ago. If I remember correctly we listed all the problems our breed is subject to and then asked people which they thought were the most important to try to combat so we could try to do research into the one that was considered most important.

The top problem came out as DCM, we had an "other" choice for diseases not listed and did not include vWD as this disease already has tests and could be eliminated within a few generations if everyone worked together on it (some hope :( )

The questionaires were distributed at shows, in newsletters and included in the breednote columns of the dog press and various web based newsletters.
