im with animal friends, its £20 something a month. My one is the Superior Plus and i get 4000 per condition per year (then another £4000 the next year and so on), lifetime condition limit is £30,000 (so thats per condition not a total ploicy limit) , and theres no anual policy limit.
Ive had to make a claim and they were very helpfull and payed both me and the vet directly as i had had payed over the excess for some of the treatment. The onyl pain in the butt is your ment to get there permission if the treatment is going to be over £1000 which your turned out to be but we didnt know it was going to be, but they said to send a letter in explaning that and they would except it.

Problem is that you've got ongoing issues with him at the moment from your other post and you will find if you change then the new policy won't cover him for these issues if you've claimed before or been and sought vets advice on it!! Can you not upgrade where you are?  Or move and loose cover on possible skin issues or whatever it was that the vet wrote down in his notes..

i know, thats a big issue, but where i am does 2 covers and the next level is rubbish, also the vets aint sure whats wrong with him so how they will put exclusions beats me ,just scared that if something goes badly wrong i cant afford it,so i hope by loosing some cover i will gain as well

If you upgrade it'll be classed as a new policy anyway, so the current problems wouldn't be covered regardless.

Anything that you've seen symptoms for before cover is taken out or during the first 14 days of cover (10 days on Aviva) will not be covered, that's how they'll do the exclusions.

I would wait for now and find out what it is - the last thing you want to do is change policies then find out it's going to cost a fortune to treat.  Trust me, I've done that thinking a condition would be fairly cheap as in the vast majority of dogs, it is (thyroid).  It now costs me a small fortune to treat and test because in that dog, it's a very unusual form of the disease so he needs different medication which is not cheap!
