What can I say that has not been said before - the border control needs to be more pro active in checking vehicles.  These traffickers of dogs and puppies need to have authorisation under the Transportation of Animals Order and other relevent legislation needs to be complied with for any 'commercial activity' of 5 or more dogs or puppies when entering the UK.

There was a similar thread last week and they got round the number of pups allowed by increasing the number of men in the vans because each was allowed 5 pups,some pups were taken away from them but it seems like many more are allowed to get away with it because of this loophole.

There was mention of puppy sales taking place in the port carpark, talk about rubbing the authorities noses in it.

There are enough dogs here in the UK looking for  homes without getting them from other countries, we are only a small island after all.

This is embarrassing. The large number of dogs trafficking illegally. This must be stopped.

This is more like it: "They are being sold through small ads in pet shops in the UK at prices that undercut reputable dog breeders."

it will never stop, we know of people who have tried to stop it, got in touch with defra, border control,tax man, council where these pups where being brought into , gave them names , address, telephone numbers, when the pups would be comming into the country how old the pups would be AND NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT
