Hi Guys
Is there thing special I could do or give to Jake my golden retriever to improve his coat before the show he will be groomed the day before but I would really like to see his coat gleaming any suggestions.

Hiya,
Im not sure if this will be any help or not, but having learnt from experiences of working at a grooming parlour a few yrs ago when i was a bit younger, and having to prepare dogs for crufts, there are several good sprays on that market at the moment to make the dogs coat glossy and smelling nice. There are also some very nice conditioners that should make the coat go very shiny and healthy looking (we used to use Asda own make coconut conditioner). Having said that im sure there are better things that can be used that i dont know about!
Good luck at crufts,
Vikki

Hi NIna

you say you will groom Jake the day before the show, BUT will you have trimmed and bathed him also, golden coats can take alot of preperation, but well worth the effort, sometimes using a conditioner can make the hair too soft and flyaway, towell dry the coat and keep brushing using a hound glove.

good luck

Hi Barbara
I am afraid it is not me doing the grooming I take him to a groomer company.
