Hi,

I have a 14 week old golden retriever puppy and he has had dark circles under his eyes this week. It looks similar to that of a human's when they are tired. He is in great condition and has been to the vets - does anyone know what may be causing these?

I thought you were talking about me for a moment - that's just how I feel! :)

Seriously though, are they tear stains? This often causes staining on a pale coat, but I wouldn't expect a pup's eyes to be watering this much. If it is tears (the hair will be wet under the eyes) I think it would be wise to get the vet to check to make sure he hasn't got a mild eye infection, or blocked tear ducts.
