It's the first time I've used the granules instead of the liquid and I'm attempting to do the 7 day lungworm dosage.
The pack says:
"1 sachet per 20kg bodyweight daily for 7 days'.
My dogs are approx 25kg, give or take a kg either way.
Am I right that I should give 1 sachet a day? (Does it mean that to go up to 2 sachets a day, your dog would need to weigh 40kg?)
confused dot com.

Anyone know...?
My experience of this is with horses and I would be giving 1 sachet to a 20kg dog 1.5 to a 30kg dog and 2 to a 40kg dog personally I would rather overdose than underdose so I would be tempted to give yours 1.25 as best I could work out.

Thanks, that is helpful. It is a bit hard to figure out a quarter of one of these sachets of powder though! I think the liquid is easier to measure. (Although it is less messy to use the powder, which is why I thought I'd give it a go.)
Basically I would not think that being a bit up one day and down the next would matter too much - I would be aiming to use 9 sachets per dog over 7 days (or if you want to be really picky 8.5) and as long as I knew they had had all that I would not worry too much. One other note - they seem to know when it is on the food but I had spectacular success mixing it with a desertspoon of natural yoghurt when I had to dose my girls for angio whatsits this year gave them that before breakfast then normal brekkie and tea
