Just seen that somebody has posted about a lady who has three Labs all up to date on vaccinations. She has lost two of them and the third one in still at the vets seriously ill. According to the vet it is a rare form of Parvo.

Just wondered if this could be SCI but looking at the SCI thread it only seems to be in the Norfolk area or does anybody know if the out breaks have been reported elsewhere ?

Jade has recently been very poorly and I did wonder about SCI. Apparently our vets have seen a huge amount of dogs with similar symptoms and last week they had a pup in that died. We are only about 6 miles from Wigan. I think it might be worth contacting he AHT and see if they are interested.

However, parvo has been pretty rife in the NW and I do know someone who lost a couple of dogs a few months ago, not that many miles N of Wigan.

But is it a new strain that is not covers by the current Vacs then ?

I am about 20 miles from Wigan and had a dog with SCI at the end of August... it floored him very quickly and he took nearly two weeks to get back to normal... not nice at all :-(
